Here are some archived PP4Alz Updates, as we've been working in our community to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer's.

As guests of Chelsea Meadows at Chatsworth, Cynthia and Joe were provided the privilege to serve the senior residents at their cookout this past Tuesday. Residents were served hot dogs and hamburgers, as well as delicious sides such as cold slaw, baked beans, and macaroni and cheese. The cookout was part of Chatsworth’s participation in National Nursing Home week. While Joe was taking food from the outside grill into the dining room, Cynthia was making sure that the residents’ orders were taken and that they felt special while being served. Wearing her trademarked smile, she spoke and laughed with them, served them their drinks and silverware, and made some friends along the way. As with all of our visits to memory care centers, we were touched by the friendliness, humor, and graciousness that we received from the residents and staff at Chelsea Meadows. These outings also prove to be bittersweet as we recognize the devastation rendered on these kind folks by Alzheimer’s.
Thank you to Chatsworth, and in particular John Feoli, Activities Director, for allowing us to visit your wonderful and important facility. To learn more about Chelsea Meadows at Chatsworth, please visit the following link: www.chatsworthatpga.com.
